The new version of Zmodeler includes an import-only GTA IV: WFT filter. Now, we need to wait for the export filter to start adding new vehicles to the game.
[ GTA San Andreas carmaking battle ] - 17.07.2008 13:00:23
During one of our IRC conversations we decided to start another battle. The idea has been inspired by two fine cars for GTA San Andreas made by Marfoj (Polonez) and Miklas (Scirocco). The goal of the battle would be creating the best car as possible for this game. This makes the battle similar to memorable SCC's (Summer Carmaking Compos) in which some of us took part.
Rules:
1. The car must be prepared directly for this battle, it is forbidden to use earlier made models (the model mustn't have been published anywhere before the start of the battle).
2. The car must act properly in the game if it's author wants it to be judged.
3. Apart from the quality of the model and the textures following elements will be considered:
damage model
characteristics of the car (handling in the game, similarity with the actual car if the model isn't a concept)
use of GTA engine's capabilities
4. Screenshots of the WIP model can by published only in the dedicated topic to avoid making mess.
5. Duration (initial) is the time of the summer holidays - the deadline is 31st of August 2008 (with the possibility of elongation, as usual).
6. There is NO FIXED LIMIT of faces. As it was during the SCC's the polycount will not be considered. The target is to make the most interesting model and, as we know, the polycount isn't the evidence of the car's quality. It's possible to make a low-, mid- or even hi-poly car.
7. When presenting the car the competitor must give the name of created model.
So, the battle is open and I encourage all of you to take part and publish your WIP screenshots on the forums to motivate the other users.
New lowpoly contest just started! This time triangle limit count 5000. We can expect nice cars. Many great carmakers entered this competition. Here are rules:
- you have to make exterior and interior in NFS:U style
- triangle limit: 5000
- deadline: end of June
- you can make any model made in 70's
- you can show progres pictures
- when you finish, you have to send 5 screens (2 screens from perspective without wire, any 2 same screens with wire and 1 free screen, only screens form standart 3ds's renderer without any changes) to max.pietkiewicz[at]gmail[dot]com

I'm pleased to say, I joined PCTeam. I'm modelling since 2005 year. My hobby is rally and racing, so mainly I make race and rally cars. Also, I'm interested in car design, so I make few concepts.
